What we collect

Contact details: name, phone number, email address, postcode
Vehicle details: registration, make, model, photos of damage
Accident details you choose to give us, including the other driver’s details, location, witness details and dashcam footage
Insurance and claim details where relevant
Payment and invoice records
Website usage data collected by cookies and similar technology, if you agree to it

How we use it and our lawful basis

To quote for and carry out repairs: to take steps before entering a contract with you, and to perform that contract.
To produce an instant price from your photos: your consent, given by ticking the box before you add photos.
To deal with insurers on a claim you ask us to help with: performance of a contract and our legitimate interests.
To introduce you to our accident management partner for a non-fault claim: your consent. You can withdraw consent at any time.
To set up a payment plan if you ask for one: to take steps before entering a contract with you.
To keep accounts and records: legal obligation.
To run and improve our website and respond to enquiries: legitimate interests.
Website analytics: your consent, given through our cookie banner.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not send marketing unless you have agreed to receive it.

Who we share it with

Insurers, loss assessors and engineers involved in your repair or claim
Our accident management partner, only with your consent, for non-fault claims
Payment Assist Ltd, if you ask to spread the cost of a repair. They will tell you how they use your information.
Parts suppliers, where needed to order parts for your vehicle (vehicle details only)
Our service providers: website hosting and analytics (WordPress.com/Automattic), email, WhatsApp (Meta) when you message us there, and our accountants
If you use our instant price check, the photos you upload are sent to Anthropic, an AI provider, to generate an estimate. We hold them for up to 30 minutes so you can choose to send them to us, then delete them. If you send us your quote, we keep the photos and estimate with your enquiry.
Police, courts or regulators where the law requires it

Some providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as UK adequacy regulations or the UK International Data Transfer Addendum.

How long we keep it

Enquiries and quotes that don’t go ahead: up to 12 months
Repair, invoice and claim records: 6 years after the job, for tax and legal claims

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your information, restrict or object to how we use it, ask for a copy to be transferred, and withdraw consent. Contact us using the details above. We’ll respond within one month.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office: ico.org.uk or 0303 123 1113.
